Which is Better: 12 MP or 108 MP?

Which is Better: 12 MP or 108 MP?

First, there was the race for megapixels, then the race for the number of sensors. But what is better to have many megapixels or many sensors? Few megapixels or few sensors?

Photography on smartphones is not a question of megapixels, or rather, it does not work that the more the better. Photography on smartphones is a question of the quality of sensors, lenses, and functions, but also and above all of the software.

From a marketing standpoint, it’s really easy to push smartphones more with “high numbers” on top of the price. The perception, even if it has been gradually mitigated, is that a higher number equates to better photos from all points of view. Obviously, the answer is no! Instead, the answer is yes to the equation. so many megapixels so much detail.

The result should not be taken for granted, 108 MP does not necessarily make photos better than 12 MP. In fact, most of the time even the opposite happens. An example can be any current mid-range Android smartphone with a very high resolution versus an iPhone even with a few years on its shoulders with a resolution of 12 MP. Even unlike a resolution, in fact, iPhone often wins with accurate photos and previous parts.

In the end, except for very rare cases, in almost all smartphones CMOS sensor that is the right size to be installed in a smartphone but at the same time has obvious limitations.

And then there are best phone under 40000 in Pakistan with multiple sensors, now it is very easy to find even 4 in smartphones that are generally cheap. Wide-angle, macro sensors, telephoto lenses, etc., serve to take a photo from a different perspective and increase the available functions. Generally “additional” sensors do not have large amounts of megapixels, they are used to enrich the functions.

12MP VS 108MP Phones

A smartphone could return excellent photos with a 108 MP sensor, but also with a 12 MP one. To take quality photos, other parameters must be taken into account, such as some of those mentioned at the beginning of the article.

The new Galaxy S20 FE is available for purchase here at the best price. With the best features and updated design, it’s the ultimate Galaxy S20.

Don’t let megapixels stop you from seeing the forest when you have to choose a mobile phone for its camera. We have reached a point in image processing where a slow 12 MP is more than enough to take high-quality photos. It is a combination of lens, hardware, and software. You don’t need 48 or 108MP, which doesn’t mean there are plenty. What happens is that many 48MP phones are photograph at 12MP by default and 108MP phones, at 27MP or 12 MP so that the images do not take up as much space and are faster to process.

Of course, if they have 48MP, 64MP, or 108MP camera phone and you shoot in full light you will see the difference from the rest, but in the end, the best mobile is the mobile that offers a balance between price and quality (inside the mobile battery, the quality of the screen, the materials…). Or at least that’s how we see it. Right now the two phones with the best cameras are the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and the iPhone 12 Pro (We have not yet tested the iPhone 13 Pro or the rest of the products in the new Apple range ), which is incontestable, but there are many more options for (almost) all pockets.
