Azure certification is the first step towards achieving certifications in cloud computing. Azure certification teaches you about cloud services and offers a wide range of exciting and challenging activities.
The first step to becoming a certified Azure professional is to enroll in the online training course which you can access completely free of charge. After completing the course, you will then be able to take an exam for your certificate either on-site or remotely for no extra fee.
There are two types of Azure certifications:
Azure Administrative Certification Associate – This type of certificate is for users who require only basic knowledge of Azure and have little to no experience with cloud computing. The certification does not grant any enterprise-level skills, but it is a solid first step towards furthering your career at a cloud company. A certification requires completing 6-8 modules and an exam with a passing score of 70%. There is no certification exam fee.
Azure Certification Professional – This certification will require you to have at least a Junior-level technical role in a cloud-related position. You will have to be responsible for managing and maintaining Azure resources, on-going integration with and maintenance of on premises infrastructure, applying automation and monitoring practices to your organization’s cloud resources. To obtain this certification, you will need to complete at least 12 hours of training courses and take the exam with a passing score of 80%. There is an exam fee. Azure preparation tools

Microsoft Official Curriculum (MOC) – The Microsoft Official Curriculum is a training course that provides a broad overview of the concepts, practice, and skills related to Azure. This one-day course is designed to acquaint you with the basics of cloud computing and the technologies used in Azure. It’s important to know that the Microsoft Official Curriculum is designed for IT professionals with little-to-no experience in cloud technologies, so it’s especially helpful if you have not worked with Azure before.
Microsoft Learn – Microsoft Learn is a site that offers a number of different types of courses based on your current level of expertise. The site offers courses on topics such as:
Azure Architecture Center – This site provides information on best practices and solutions to common problems in the specific area of Azure architecture.
Microsoft Virtual Academy – This site offers free training videos covering various topics within the Azure platform, as well as Azure support services and products.
Azure Practical Skills Labs – This site offers virtual labs with step-by-step instructions for building a number of solutions with the Azure platform. It’s important to note that the lab solutions only work with certain versions of the software, so you should make sure to read the “Requirements” section of each lab before attempting it.
