Pink Ribbon Day 2019

October, Australia’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, provides an opportunity for us all to focus on breast cancer and its impact on those affected by the disease in our community.

Breast Cancer remains the most common cancer among Australian women. Early diagnosis has been found to improve survival rates, with 89 out of every 100 women with invasive breast cancer now surviving 5+ years beyond diagnosis. Those with dense breast tissue or augmentation can now also benefit from a 3D mammogram
improving detection rates.

Cancer Council’s Pink Ribbon Day helps raises funds in support of the many thousands of Australian women affected by breast and gynecological cancers.
Cancer Council aims to minimize the threat of women’s cancers through successful prevention, best treatment,
support and world-class cancer research.
