Shia Quran Academy (SQA) was established to help Shia Muslims deepen their understanding of the Quran and other Islamic texts. With over 1500 students enrolled, it’s clear that Shia Muslims in the world and abroad are seeking knowledge and support from each other as well as from Muslim scholars, imams, and teachers like those at SQA, who offer courses online as well as on-site in Shia communities around the country.

We provide Islamic education to those who want to learn and understand Quran. The Academy offers a variety of programs that include: Quran lessons, Arabic classes, Islamic studies, Islamic theology, Quranic sciences and more. Our Vision
The Quran Academy was established to provide a well-rounded education in the Islamic tradition, including arts and sciences. After more than two centuries of what many would consider neglect, the time is ripe for such an educational institution. The Quranic Academies will build on the rich heritage of Islamic culture and make it accessible to those who are eager to learn about Islam and its place in our modern world. We want to bring hope to Muslim youths, develop leaders from among them, help solve society’s ills, and guide their minds and hearts toward the ultimate goal of all human activity: peace with God.
The Staff
This academy was created with the goal of providing religious education to others. The staff at this academy is knowledgeable and can share their knowledge with others through the teaching of the Quran. We also provide a space where people can come together, engage in prayer, and offer lectures. We are looking forward to all those who want to learn more about Islamic teachings on how they can make a difference in the world.
How We Teach
We provide Islamic education to those who wants to learn and understand Quran. We offer a variety of classes from basic Islamic knowledge, understanding the Quranic text, and advanced Quranic studies. Our curriculum incorporates both traditional and contemporary approaches to understanding Islam. Class sizes are small in order to offer students ample time for discussion and interaction with the teacher. The academy is accredited by the Association of Advanced Rabbinical and Talmudic Schools (AARTS) as well as other external bodies. The teachers at Shia Quran Academy take their responsibility very seriously as they believe that there is no greater joy than leading someone to enlightenment.
Our Plan
Shia Quran Academy is an Islamic learning institution that provides lessons in Arabic, Persian and Urdu to learners of all ages. We offer a range of courses including basic Arabic, advanced Arabic, Persian or Urdu courses, as well as courses on the Quran. Some of our most popular classes are our Quranic Study Classes with comprehensive lectures about Islam’s holy book. The Shi’a community has been growing rapidly worldwide with millions converting from other religions and sects to Shi’a Islam each year, but it can be difficult for new members of this community to learn more about the faith because they often lack opportunities in their local communities.
