What is the Spectrum TV app?
Spectrum customers have access to three separate Spectrum apps. These three apps can be easily found on the App Store or Google Play and each has a different purpose.
What does each Spectrum app do?
- Spectrum TV app – Watch TV, access your DVR, schedule TV recordings.
- My Spectrum App – Pay your Spectrum bill, troubleshoot and access your Wi-Fi network.
- Spectrum Mobile App – For Spectrum Mobile customers to manage account information.
However, the Spectrum TV app is unique in that it adds additional TV viewing options and features to your Spectrum service, all for free. So if you have a Spectrum bundle with Internet and TV, you’ll definitely want to download the Spectrum TV app to get the most out of your investment.
How to download the Spectrum TV app
You can quickly download the Spectrum TV app on a variety of devices. That is how:
- For smartphones and tablets: Access and download all Spectrum apps on the App Store or Google Play on your smartphone.
- For Roku and Apple TV: Go to the Search function and type “Spectrum TV”, then add it to your channel list.
- For Amazon devices: Download from the Amazon App Store.
What can I do with the Spectrum TV app?
If you’re not taking advantage of the Spectrum TV app, you may be missing out on some valuable features that come with your Spectrum service. Don’t make the mistake of thinking that the app is just for watching TV on the go. While watching your shows on the go can be a plus for some customers (especially when you need to entertain the kids while you run errands), there are plenty of other things you can do with the app that enhance your home TV viewing experience, like What:

Is the Spectrum TV app free?
The Spectrum app is completely free. However, you must be a Spectrum TV customer to access the app, which may incur other fees and charges from Spectrum.
All levels of Spectrum TV customers can use the app, whether you’re a TV minimalist with the Spectrum Select plan or like to have the wider variety of channels that come with the Spectrum Silver or Gold TV plan.
You can also download the Spectrum TV app on various devices. So, for example, you can add the app on all your smart TVs, plus each family member’s smartphone.
