He is born in the walled city where he was playing cricket and roaming around like a bird. Umran akmal and kamran akmal both are his cousins were the reason he was attracted towards cricket. Therfore he decide to make career in professional cricket.
Before join the cricket academy he was ball boy at Gaddafi stadium.

How is his international Career.?
His international career starts from Zimbabwe series. In may 2015 babar was included in the Pakistani ODI Squad. He made his ODI debut in 3rd ODI and there he was scored impressive 54 runs.
In 2016 against West Indies he Scored his maiden hundred and winning his first man of the match.
He was leading runscorer in 2016 for Pakistan.

He was selected in pakistan ODI Sqaud in april 2019 for Cricket World cup 2019.ICC named him as one of the five exciting talents making their Cricket World Cup debuts.
