A urologic specialist is a physician who specializes in diseases of the male and female urinary tract, kidneys, and prostate. It is important for you to understand what goes on inside your body and how it relates to urology, so we have provided information on some of our treatments on our site. We encourage you to take time to read over these articles and familiarize yourself with our procedures so that when you come in for a visit, we can be sure to treat your specific needs. At Urologic Specialists of Northwest Indiana, we provide state-of-the-art urological services with a strong emphasis on patient education. Our doctors are committed to clinical excellence while treating patients with compassion, mutual respect, and trust.

What Do We Do?

As urologists, we are trained to diagnose and treat problems with a patient’s urinary tract and male reproductive system. Some of our patients have symptoms such as painful urination, blood in urine, inability to urinate, frequent or painful erection, or erections that last longer than 4 hours. Other common causes for visiting a urologist are infertility (difficulty conceiving), pelvic pain, kidney stones or bladder cancer. To diagnose and properly treat any problem affecting these organs (penis, prostate gland, testes) or surrounding areas (bladder/urethra/ureter), we often order and interpret imaging studies such as ultrasounds, CTs/MRIs with contrast agents, or X-rays.

You May Also Like:
