If you\u2019re like most people, your car doesn\u2019t get cleaned nearly as often as it should. Every week, you probably find yourself sweeping up the usual suspects\u2013crumbs and small pieces of trash\u2013but you might feel that\u2019s about as far as your cleaning duties go. Don\u2019t neglect your car interior\u2013it builds up grime and absorbs odors over time that can be hard to get rid of once they\u2019ve settled in! Follow this guide on how to thoroughly clean the interior of your car so you can get that coffee smell out once and for all!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inspect your car for any coffee spills<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Look for any coffee spills or other stains on the car’s upholstery. Use a damp cloth to remove any coffee spills, and then blot with a clean, dry cloth. If there are any stains on the car’s upholstery, mix a few tablespoons of baking soda and water together in a bowl. Apply this mixture onto the stain using a small paintbrush or clean cloth until it is removed from the fabric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vacuum all surfaces<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Reng\u00f8ring af bil<\/strong><\/a>: Start with the floor mats, which can harbor dirt and crumbs. If they are removable, vacuum the under side with a hose attachment. The first step is to shampoo all upholstery and carpets. This will help eliminate the smell and any stains or dirt that may be lingering. Once the seats are dry, use a steamgr\u00f8nt cleaner and fill the reservoir with water. Set your steamer on low, then start shampooing all surfaces inside your car. Be sure not to overwet anything while using the steamgr\u00f8nt cleaner as it can leave spots on clothes, carpeting and upholstery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wipe down all hard surfaces<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

It’s important to get all hard surfaces clean first so you can be sure you’ve gotten rid of the coffee smell. This includes the steering wheel, dashboard and upholstery. Use a microfiber cloth with steamgr\u00f8nt or Reng\u00f8ring af bil and wipe down these surfaces. You don’t want to risk getting dirt onto other parts of the car’s interior.
