You’ve probably encountered masked numbers before, but you might not have known the term or even thought about it much. You can do a lot with number masking in your own business. Here’s what this technology is and why you should use it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Call masking is a service that allows you to hide your real phone number when making calls. You can choose to mask your number or use a call forwarding service, which will forward all incoming calls from your masked number to the same location as the original call made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Call forwarding is usually used for people who want their “real” numbers hidden from public records and directories. This way, if someone calls the business but it’s after hours and no one answers, they’ll get an automated message saying that their call has been forwarded elsewhere (which could be another person in your office).<\/p>\n\n\n
