Nandi Hills, or Nandidurg, is a hill fortification in the south Indian state of Karnataka. 

It is not the best place for camping but a real adventurous place, but if the tourist is attempting camping for the first time, then yes this could be a nice foreword towards camping.

Walking distance to the tea stalls etc, you will find

Tipu’s drop, Tipu’s summer residence also ref. as Task-e-Jannat,

Brahmashram is a cave said to have been used by then Sage Ramakrishna Paramhansa for rumination. 

Note: This is one spot preferred by biking, and cycling aficionados owing to the topography. You would need a geared cycle to challenge Nandi Hills so what are you waiting for.

I remember the first time I went camping. Probably when I was in the seven standards. 

We are required to camp out once every year.
