Hungry Howie’s has grown tremendously since its start in 1973, due to the affordable Hungry Howie’s menu prices, and the overall quality of the food. The brand also started the trend of flavoring their pizza crusts, and that’s how the brand made its mark in the industry.

Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger Pizza

Yes, in a way, it’s like having your favorite bacon cheeseburger in pizza form. But that’s too much of an oversimplification as to why this ranks first on this list. It’s just so delicious that you’ll never find yourself limiting your intake to just one or two slices. It’s seriously addictive. 

It’s actually a rather simple pizza, since you only have 3 ingredients, and 2 of those ingredients are cheese. You have the ground beef, and it’s just so tasty and savory. Then you have lots of cheddar and mozzarella cheese. It’s so simple, and yet so good. 

Howie Maui Pizza

Okay, this list may seem like an immediate failure already to a lot of pizza purists who absolutely loathe the very idea of pineapple on pizza. But hear us out anyway. To those who love pineapple on their pizza, this option is a no-brainer. It’s an excellent pizza even when compared to other “Hawaiian” pizzas from other pizza joints. 

But even those who don’t normally get pineapple for their pizza should try this as well. It just might change your mind, if you’re open to new food adventures. The thing is, the pineapple’s syrupy sweetness goes perfectly with the tangy tomato flavor of the marinara sauce. It’s that sweet and salty combo that’s just hard to ignore. 

Add the ham, bacon, and mozzarella cheese, and it’s actually a great option if you’re open-minded about the whole “pineapple on pizza” concept. 

Steak, Cheese & Mushroom Sub

The Hungry Howie’s subs are a nice alternative to the pizzas, although the more die-hard pizza fans might say that they work just as well as additions to the pizza. Either way, the subs are great. that’s especially true when you go first with the Steak, Cheese & Mushroom Sub. With this sandwich, you have the marinated steak combining with the creamy mozzarella cheese and grilled mushrooms for an absolutely great taste. 

They really melt the mozzarella cheese here just right, and it gives a great creamy texture to the mushrooms and meat. What’s more, Hungry Howie’s serve this sub with some Italian dressing on the side. It’s a unique move, but the dressing actually gives you that vinegary taste that cuts nicely through the richness of the juicy steak, the delicate mushrooms, and the creamy cheese. 

You also have the option of adding some tomato and lettuce to this sub. Whether you do so or not, it’s still a great choice. 

Asian Chicken Flatbread

Even if you’re a hardcore fan of traditional American fare, you really should give Asian flavors a try. These bright Asian seasonings and flavors have this unique umami taste that will really wake up your taste buds. On this particular flatbread, you get a layer of that tangy Asian sauce instead of the classic marinara sauce. 

That switch goes nicely with the toppings, which include grilled chicken. The juicy chicken really combines well with the zesty sauce. Then you have the creamy mozzarella and the sweet red onion that really kicks up the flavor profile. 

Finally, the flatbread comes with just a sprinkling of sesame seeds, and it’s what really gets this flatbread going. The nutty taste complements the other ingredients, and makes this flatbread a true winner. 

Howie Wings

Pick any flavor you want. Whether you go with the barbeque, buffalo, or Asian flavor, it will just complement the pizza perfectly. You still have the same 3 flavors to choose from if you opt for the boneless variety. Your best bet is to get 3 platters, to make sure you try out all 3 Howie Wings flavors so you can judge your personal favorite. 

But if you go with only 2 platters, make sure you get the Asian wing flavor as one of them. It’s just great, as it has this tangy and zesty flavor that matches perfectly with any pizza.
