  3. The printer can’t find the required driver
  4. The cartridge is not installed correctly

  6. Empty cartridge
  7. Fuser is not working correctly
  8. The printer is not recognizing the clone cartridge

Troubleshooting Canon G300 printing errors

Restart your Canon printer

If your Canon printer is showing any printing error then you should try restarting it. Some of the printer errors can appear if the printer meets any runtime error. You can easily fix the Canon printer runtime error by restarting it. When the Canon printer is On, eject the power cable. Reconnect the cable and the printer will start working correctly. Send a new print command and check your device for the printing error.

Replace your power cord

Your printer can show printing speed issues when you are using a low-speed cable. Go to your printer and check for the connected cable. If your cable seems damaged then replace it. Sometimes the user uses the cable of another device on the Canon printer. Using a low-speed cable will affect the printing speed. Use only a high-speed printer cable for connection. Purchase a new cable and now connect your Canon printer. The printer will start printing at a good speed.

Place the printer near the router

Printer speed reduces when you are using it wirelessly. The cable connection provides excellent printing speed. When the device is connected wirelessly, keep the printer near the commanding device to increase the speed. When you have connected the printer to the router, place it near the router. The printer will work at a better speed if the connection is good.

Check the ink on your cartridges

You will get printing errors if the cartridges are empty or not installed correctly. If you are wondering why my canon printer is printing blank pages then check the ink level. Go to the cartridges and check for the ink. If the ink level is very low, you should replace the cartridges. Remove the empty cartridge and get a new cartridge for your Canon printer. Your printer will start printing correctly once it finds the correct cartridge.

Use original ink cartridge

Printing quality can ruin if the printer has clone cartridges. Original cartridges cost a lot, many people use clone cartridges on the printer. Clone or compatible cartridges are cheaper but provide poor printing quality. To print in better quality, you need to get the original cartridges. If you can’t afford to purchase original cartridges then purchase the ink. You can easily refill the ink on your cartridges. Take the cartridge and refill the ink carefully. Close the cartridge lid tightly and shake it well. Now install the refilled cartridge and the printer will start providing high-quality printouts.

Clean the printhead

Canon printers can show printing quality issues when the printhead is jammed. The printhead needs to be cleaned regularly as the dry ink often gets clogged. When the head is clogged, the printer can’t print in good quality. To take good printouts, clean the printhead. Go to the Canon printer and click on Menu. Choose properties and tap on Print Head Cleaning. Choose the Deep Cleaning option and hit on the OK button. The printhead will start cleaning. Run this printhead utility tool 2-3 times for complete cleaning. You can also clean the printhead of your Canon printer manually. Take out the printhead and clean it using a clean cloth. Use a few drops of cleaner and remove all the clogged ink. Wait until the printhead dries and reinstall it on the printer. Take a test printout and check the quality of your printout.

Use good quality paper

The printing quality also depends on the paper. If the printer quality reduces, check for the sheets. Printing on thick paper is difficult. Whereas, printing on thin paper makes it bloat. You must use good quality paper sheets for printing your document. Take out all sheets from the input tray. Get quality pages and align them correctly. Insert the pages on the printer and now take your printouts.

Change the printing mode

If you want to take printouts in better quality then check the printing mode. If the printing mode is normal, change it to high. The printer will take more time in printing but will provide better printouts. Using high-quality mode, the printer uses more ink for printing. If your printer is running slowly and you need to print in speed then change the mode to low. But you can only take plain (black and white) printouts. Choosing low-mode for colored printouts is not recommendable as the quality is very poor. But for black and white printouts, you can take lots of printouts in less time. The ink usage in low-mode is also very less. You can print out more printouts in less ink.

Check for your Canon printer driver

When your Canon printer is not working, you should check for the driver. Printers require a driver to communicate with the computer. If the printer can’t find the driver, it won’t work. Go to your connected device and check for the driver. If you haven’t installed the driver then visit the Canon website and download the setup. Install the driver setup on your PC and now restart it. Reconnect the printer and your Canon printer will start printing.

Clean the print queue

Canon printers can show printing errors if any of the print jobs get stuck. To fix the error, you have to clean the print queue. Press Windows + R button and type services.MSc. Click on the OK button and the Services window will appear on the screen. Scroll down and select Print Spooler. Click on the Stop button. Go to file explorer and navigate to Printers on the Spool folder. Select all files and delete them. Now restart the Print Spooler and take your printout easily.
