poke acai bowl

poke acai bowl

Acai bowls are the new fruit bowl. They’re delicious and healthy, but they also have a lot of sugar if you choose to use frozen fruits. I like to make my acai bowl with frozen mango and yogurt instead.

1 c. frozen acai

  • In a blender, combine the frozen acai and coconut oil. Blend for about 1 minute or until smooth. Set aside in the refrigerator to allow it to thicken for about 30 minutes.
  • While your acai is chilling, peel and slice one banana into chunks (don’t use brown bananas because they’ll cause too much browning). Add those banana chunks along with ⅓ cup of frozen mango chunks into your blender bowl along with vanilla extract (optional), then blend on high until smooth like ice cream!

3-4 Pour into 2 bowls, and serve immediately while still cold!

1 Tbsp. coconut oil

Coconut oil is a healthy fat that helps with weight loss and has anti-inflammatory properties. It’s good for your skin, hair, and nails! Coconut oil can be used to cook or bake. It can also be used in smoothies or other recipes where you want to add a little extra healthy fat.

1 banana

Bananas are a good source of potassium, vitamin C, and fiber. They’re also a great source of magnesium and manganese which helps regulate blood pressure levels.

Bananas have been shown to improve heart health by lowering LDL cholesterol levels in people with high cholesterol, as well as helping reduce the risk of cancerous cells developing in your body. Plus they contain amino acids that help build muscle mass when you exercise!

⅓ c. frozen mango

Mango is a tropical fruit that grows in Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean. It’s high in vitamin A and vitamin C, which are good for your immune system and vision. Mangoes are rich in antioxidants (which help to neutralize free radicals).

Mangoes are also low in calories: one 2-ounce serving of mango has only 50 calories!

¼ c. coconut milk

Coconut milk is a great source of healthy fats. It’s also an excellent alternative to dairy milk, soy milk, and other plant-based milk. The calcium it contains helps build bone density. An important factor for developing strong bones as you age.

  • ¼ cup unsweetened coconut milk
  • 1 banana (or substitute another fruit)

This poke acai bowl is sweet, delicious, and healthy! It’s a great way to get your daily dose of fruit and protein. It’s also easy to make and will keep you full for hours. This poke acai bowl is the perfect meal or snack for any time of the day!

acai bowl

Acai bowl is a popular snack and breakfast food that originated in Brazil. It is made by blending acai berries with other fruits, such as banana, pineapple, and mango. The result is a smoothie-like texture with a light green color.

Acai bowls can be found at many cafes and restaurants around the world, but they’re also available at grocery stores like Whole Foods Market (which has its own version called “Wildberry Acai Bowl”) or even at convenience stores like 7-Eleven!

Acai bowls are high in protein and fiber. Just one cup contains about five grams of protein plus three grams of fiber per serving. And they contain antioxidants from the acai berry itself as well as from other ingredients used to make them into this delicious treat.

poke bowl

Poke bowl is a Hawaiian dish that has become very popular in the United States over the past few years. It’s made from raw fish, vegetables, and sometimes other ingredients like seaweed or tofu. The poke bowl can be served with rice or salad as an appetizer or main course, but it also makes an excellent side dish to accompany your main course of sushi rolls or other Japanese food items.

Poke bowls come in many different varieties depending on where you order them: at restaurants; at home, if you’re making them yourself; on the streets (like we saw), etcetera! So let’s get started learning what makes up this delicious dish.

poke acai bowl

A poke bowl is a Hawaiian dish that combines the flavors of poke (Hawaiian raw fish) with other ingredients, such as rice and salad greens.

The word “poke” originates from the Hawaiian language and means “to cut.” By making cuts into raw fish, you’re basically breaking down its cell walls so it can be eaten more easily.

ingredients

Açai is a popular Brazilian fruit that looks like an orange with thick, dark skin. It has a tart flavor with hints of citrus, which makes it perfect for adding to smoothies and juices.

The other ingredients are just as important: poke bowls are served cold or room temperature, while poke again tends to be served hot (the traditional recipe calls for them to be chilled). If you’re making one at home, I recommend starting out with some frozen fruit so that you can still enjoy your bowl without having any ice cubes melting into it!

1-2 tablespoons frozen açai (one pack. I use Sambazon organic)

  • 1-2 tablespoons frozen açai
  • one pack. I use Sambazon organic

1/3 cup frozen berries (I use a pre-mixed bag of raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries)

The first step is to make the acai bowl. To do that, you’ll need frozen berries. I use a pre-mixed bag of raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries. Any berries you like will work! If you don’t have any frozen fruit on hand, feel free to mix up your own batch at home by putting some berries into a blender or food processor (this is what I did). You’ll end up with something similar to this.

1 small banana, cut into chunks and frozen

Bananas are a good source of potassium, fiber, and vitamins B6, C, and A. They also provide manganese as well as vitamin E.

Bananas contain more than 30% of your daily recommended value for magnesium (more than any other fruit), which aids in the body’s ability to regulate blood pressure and maintain healthy bones by strengthening the heart muscle tissue that pumps blood around your body.

3-4 tablespoons milk of choice (I use unsweetened almond milk but any milk will work)

You need three to four tablespoons of milk of choice (I use unsweetened almond milk but any milk will work).

Conclusion

In this recipe, you’ll find a delicious acai and poke bowl that will satisfy your craving for something sweet and healthy. It’s also easy to make and tastes amazing!
